Public safety is fundamental to Ventura County’s quality of life. Our first responders continue to lead with unwavering dedication—fighting street crime, enhancing disaster preparedness, protecting critical infrastructure, and forming innovative partnerships to safeguard our residents.

Ventura County’s public safety efforts span a broad range of services, including emergency response, disaster readiness, crime prevention, infrastructure safety, and environmental health. I remain fully committed to supporting and expanding public safety efforts to ensure every resident feels safe, protected, and supported—today and into the future.

Whether it is providing extra resources to our Sheriff’s Department to help fight crime or providing new equipment to Ventura County Fire to help fight wildfires, enhancing public safety is a top priority of mine. In Ventura County we are blessed to have world-class public safety professionals serving the community and I am proud to support them.
